About the Teacher

HG Kanai Krishna Das

Kānāi Kṛṣṇa Dās is a disciple of His Holiness Rādhānāth Svāmī. Joined ISKCON in 2001. Currently serves as a regular monk at ISKCON NVCC, Pune, India. After graduating in mechanical engineering in 2004 from Govt. College of Engineering, Pune, worked with MNCs like FMR Corporation, Honeywell Corporation and others, as an Oracle consultant for 6 years.

Prabhu joined ISKCON Pune as a regular monk in 2011. Since his college days, he has served as a Kṛṣṇa Consciousness teacher for college and corporate youth. He is a member of ISKCON's Shastric Advisory Council (SAC), a body that advises the GBC on matters relating to the Shastras and their application in ISKCON. He is the Director of Academics at ISKCON Bhāgavata Mahāvidyālaya (IBMV), Govardhan. He serves as Dean of Academics at ISKCON Bhāgavata Mahāvidyālaya in North America, ISKCON Bhāgavata Mahāvidyālaya in Europe, and also at Bhaktivedanta Rajavidyālaya, ISKCON Pune, India.

Prabhu is a traditional Sanskrit scholar with expertise in Paninian grammar. He teaches Sanskrit commentaries on Bhakti Shastras such as Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Bhagavad-gītā, Bhāgavata sandarbhe as well as courses such as Bhakti Vaibhava and Bhakti Vedanta to students worldwide at IBMV North America, Europe, Govardhana and other locations in India. He also teaches Sanskrit grammar, Sanskrit prosody and other aspects of Sanskrit literature.

He is currently pursuing a postgraduate course in Sanskrit and philosophy.
